Here’s what you’ll do in this role:

  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements
  • Develops or modifies procedures to solve moderately complex problems within information systems
  • Analyzes business and user needs, document requirements, and revise existing system logic difficulties as necessary
  • Provides guidance to less experienced Business System Analysts
  • As a member of the Enterprise Delivery organization, the Requirements Analyst will work closely with engineers, testers, to perform requirements analysis, analysis of alternative solutions, and generation/maintenance of Requirements Traceability Matrices in support of the deployment of cyber solutions
  • The Requirements Analyst will execute effective solutions for internal and external requirements management functions on a large-scale cyber program
  • In addition, the Requirements Analyst will track the status of new/implemented solution capabilities/features ensuring traceability of technical functional requirements to test case outcomes
  • Maintain the requirements management processes and procedures within the Requirements Management Plan to support requirements management
  • Engage in working sessions with internal and external stakeholders to derive high-level requirements to ensure that the proposed solution fulfills all objectives
  • Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices as well as processes and procedures to support Requirements Management
  • Generate and evaluate requirements management metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • In collaboration with product owner, identify epics, user stories, and test conditions in facilitated sessions
  • Be able to dig deeper, add additional information and make the team understand the User Stories and acceptance criteria when Product Owner has written story and acceptance criteria in barebones and simple terms
  • Responsible for creating the necessary documentation including selecting the documentation methods and formats that are most appropriate for the project such as some or all of below:
    • when an iteration is about to start, and the developers need to be reminded of implementation decisions and hard-to-remember requirements (such as complex business rules that apply to a user story)
    • document all reasons behind certain implementation choices that may affect future work
    • Assist Product team when end users will start to use a new product or feature, and need help understanding how to operate the software


Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree · 3 - 5 years demonstrated requirements management related experience ·
  • Must be comfortable working with both internal and external stakeholders to interpret and define solution requirements
  • Knowledge of IT systems management, especially Systems Engineering Life Cycles (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies as well as ITIL/ITSM experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customer, technical, and management personnel
  • Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an effective problem solver
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work independently
  • Exceptional organizational & multi-tasking skills
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (including MS Office suite, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SharePoint, JIRA, Zendesk
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (Optional)
